Two New Review Categories.

These are the first two radio serials by Douglas Adams, following the stories of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and The Restaurant At the End of the Universe. Film Soundtracks: in the second of the new review categories we begin with The Stephen King Soundtrack Collection. The Soundtrack reviews which were already in the Music category have been moved to this new category. Music Reviews: we examine releases from the psychedelic Oranssi Pazuzu, rock mainstays Treetop Flyers, and Devil Gone Public. 1950s Monster B-Movie Reviews: we pay tribute to not only, arguably, the best example in this category, but an all-time science fiction classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still. We also look at Plan 9 From Outer Space, notoriously considered by many to be the worst film from this era. We also examine It - The Terror From Beyond Space, which is thought to have been the inspiration for Ridley Scott's Alien. Science Fiction & Fantasy Reviews: we look at my original review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (Michael Rennie) as well as the space drama, The Right Stuff  (Ed Harris, Fred Ward, Sam Shepard) and the precursor to Gerry Anderson's UFO, Journey to the Far Side of the Sun (Ed Bishop, Roy Thinnes, Ian Hendry). Crime/Thriller/Mainstream Reviews: we evaluate the biopic The Kid Stays in the Picture, and Crime Thrillers City By the Sea, Ararat, and The Long Lunch. Animated Superhero Reviews: we turn our attention to the X-Men with four releases from the X-Men Evolution series.
